About: I'm a little shy and very nerdy. I generally spend my free time, what little I have, on reading, PC gaming, or if available, Dungeons and Dragons. I've always have been involved in music, starting on piano in elementary and switching to trumpet in middle school. I love marching band and contributing to the atmosphere at football games through both high school and the MVs. I study Architecture and I'm very fortunate to be able to do so at Virginia Tech, one of the best programs in the nation. I joined Kappa Kappa Psi to help give back to the bands and to meet and bond with fellow bandsmen, who I am honored to call brothers.

About: I began to be involved in music when I started playing the alto saxophone when I was in the sixth grade. I increasingly became involved in music throughout my middle and high school careers, and even served as my high school’s band president. In addition to being involved with music, I have also always enjoyed helping people. I was a Boy Scout since elementary school, and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. When I was accepted to Virginia Tech, I decided to try out for the Marching Virginians. Once I made The Marching Virginians, I wanted to become involved in the band programs at Tech, so I decided to join Kappa Kappa Psi. By joining Kappa Kappa Psi, I was able to continue the service I loved from scouting, as well as stay involved with music programs. I have also made many good friends and met many wonderful people through Kappa Kappa Psi. Continuing to service the band programs that I love is such a huge part of my life and has been a wonderful part of my college experience. Currently I am majoring in International Studies with a concentration of World Politics and Policy, and I plan on adding a German minor. Once I graduate from Virginia Tech, I plan on getting a job with a government agency such as the Department of State or the National Security Agency.

About: I am following in my family's footsteps as a member of the Marching Virginians and Kappa Kappa Psi. Before me, my mom, dad, brother, uncle, and two aunts were members of the Marching Virginians and Brothers of Kappa Kappa Psi or Sisters of Tau Beta Sigma. I joined the fraternity the first semester of my freshman year because I had a great deal of respect for Kappa Kappa Psi and I was already familiar with the Brothers. Joining this fraternity was the best decision I've made since coming to Virginia Tech. The service we do for the bands of Virginia Tech exemplifies the spirit of Ut Prosim, and I am happy to be a part of it.

About: I have always been fascinated by puzzles, even as a child. I enjoyed watching mystery shows and working with Legos, which I believe is what got me interested in Engineering, and later Robotics. In middle school, I began playing the electric guitar, shortly after I started on the Alto Saxophone. As I grew older, I became more interested in marching band and learned to play the Tenor Saxophone as well. As I was in my last year of middle school, I began working on websites and photo design as well. During high school I started playing in the marching band, got into jazz band, tutored middle schoolers, and started taking classes and interning in companies using coding languages. For college, I decided on attending Virginia Tech. Being an eagle scout I was not very concerned with being away from home or worrying how to manage myself as these were drilled into me during my process. I heard about The Marching Virginians, and decided to attempt to re-enter marching band. During my freshman and sophomore years I have been an Alto Saxophone and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The second semester of my Freshman Year, I decided to join Kappa Kappa Psi because of all the great friends I made that were brothers and their dedication to service and achievement. In the future, I hope to see robotics to be added as a minor, so that I can complete it along with my Mechanical Engineering degree and grow up to design humanoid service or rescue robots that are able to function as humans in uninhabitable situations.

About: Family has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a small family farm close to all of my relatives. I believe that this strong sense of family has made me into the person I am today. I decided to come to Virginia Tech because it is a great school, but I really made the decision because this place feels like home. Once I joined Kappa Kappa Psi I can say that I truly found my second family. We push each other to do bigger and better things. Service has always been a large part of my life and I am happy to say that this has continued into my college years. I can only hope that as I move forward I continue to serve people. After college I plan to work in a packaging firm as a Packaging Engineer, before eventually starting my own business, or I can always go back home and farm. Who knows!?!

About: I was born in Midlothian, VA and lived in Chesterfield, VA until I was around 9 years old. From there, my family moved to Christiansburg, VA where my mom got a job at Virginia Tech. I started learning piano when we moved and played the tenor saxophone in the middle school band. Finding a passion in music, I decided to continue playing the saxophone in high school with concert bands and the marching band. I developed a passion for service by leading the CHS marching band as drum major for two years. My last two years of high school were when I started to attend a governor's school for math and science, which boosted my interest in math and engineering. During those years, I worked on an aerospace engineering project with a friend, and from that experience, I knew I wanted to study aerospace engineering in college. Since I lived so close to Virginia Tech, it was a dream to become a Hokie. I decided to audition for The Marching Virginians on tenor saxophone and trombone. Having immense amounts of fun with the band and the people there, I then decided to join Kappa Kappa Psi my first semester of college, because some of my closest saxophone friends were brothers. Joining The MV's and Kappa Kappa Psi proved to be the best decision I made since coming to Blacksburg. It gave me a new family and allowed me to help others through service projects. In my four years at Virginia Tech, I plan on completing an Aerospace Engineering degree with mathematics and computer science minors while continuing to play the saxophone and serving the community as a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi.

About: Never being content with average or just "good enough", I have always pushed myself to achieve all that I can with the time I've been given. Born and raised in Alabama to a loving family, I was taught the importance of finding meaning in everything we do and how family extends far past just blood relations. I never expected to go to college, much less a place as prestigious as Virginia Tech. My plan since I was about 6 was to go military, but that changed when a medical issue held me back from enlisting straight out of high school. Now, I bring that same level of order and intensity that was drilled into me to everything I do day-to-day. Whether it is music, academics, or sports, I demand the best from myself and continually strive to reach that level of perfection.

About: I have lived in Portsmouth, VA my whole life. I attended a small private high school where I participated in the concert and marching bands. I began to learn about Virginia Tech when my older brother began his freshman year as a member of the Corps of Cadets during my junior year of high school. After spending some time around the campus, I decided that Virginia Tech was the college for me, and after spending some time around members of the band program, I joined the Marching Virginians as a member of the Baritone section. I was convinced to rush Kappa Kappa Psi in the fall semester of my freshman year after meeting some of the active brothers, and seeing the bond that they shared with each other as well as their dedication to the organization.
